Starting on December 18, the maximum interest rate paid to individuals
depositing US dollars in local banks will be zero per cent per year, the
central bank announced.
Major cooking gas firms in HCM City slashed their prices by VND14,000
(67 US cents) per 12kg canister on June 1, after they announced the
price cut the previous day.
